The smell of vitality is sweet and earthy as it drifts down the stairs and permeates the office space of Wellness and Esthetics + CARE Esthetics Utah in Prospector Square. The office’s high-end interior reflects Dr. Giselle Batcheller’s eye for clean lines, white backdrops and gold finishes. The aroma and setting mingle with Giselle’s warm smile, which radiates through her blue eyes. There is a tangible feeling pulsing through the air — this is a space of healing.
Working in the fields of medicine and vitality are Giselle’s destiny. “My family history in health care paved a very firm foundation for me. It’s part of who I am and truly part of my DNA. It’s what I feel like my purpose is,” she explains. “My dad was a surgeon. My stepfather’s a family physician. My mother is a nurse. My stepmother is a nurse. My oldest sister went into gastroenterology.”
Giselle started her career in dentistry, but her zest for learning propelled her toward a second doctorate in naturopathy along with a handful of complementary studies.
“I was working on the second doctorate after I moved to Utah and did a bunch of different trainings, like Chinese medicine and a yoga teacher training. I had previously been to culinary school. I have a lot of background in different ways of nourishing and supporting the body, mind and spirit,” Giselle explains.
Her method of healing looks at the whole body and complete health of a person. “I approach my profession from a different mentality … because I view everything as being connected. You can’t support one portion of somebody’s well-being without it also supporting, in a positive way, other aspects of their well-being.”
Her unquenchable thirst for healing and her interest in the body’s interconnectedness paved the way for an introduction to Dr. Richard Miron in 2018. “When I went to his first course [on platelet-rich fibrin] … I realized what kind of a giant he was in this community. … He has a dental degree, a medical degree, a PhD, and several different master’s degrees, all from top-notch institutions.”
His prestigious titles, combined with more than 300 published peer- reviewed papers on his healing modalities, solidified Dr. Miron as an ideal mentor. “What I’ve learned from him has been foundational for my practice,” she explains.
Giselle’s work is based on the techniques and tools she learned from Dr. Miron. She uses platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) for recovery, prevention and aesthetics. “PRF has a high concentration of valuable cells. It is entirely autogenous, meaning there’s nothing added to it,” she explains. “It is a regenerative matrix, a fibrin matrix.”
In her office there is a full- body light therapy system called TheraLight 360 that “helps with your central nervous system, brain, skin and joints.” She also uses laser therapy to heal and beautify. “The lasers that I have are for pain and healing, hair regrowth, skin tightening and helping to nourish different layers of the skin,” she explains.
When Giselle opened her regenerative and vitality- based practice, she was at the forefront of the industry. “I don’t think anybody had started a practice like this,” she explains. “I’m the first doctor to leave everything behind and define myself as this is what I do.”
When Giselle got a message from Dr. Miron in 2024 notifying her that she was the “CARE Esthetics National Provider of the Year,” she was elated. “This is a scientific, evidence-based and research-based field I’m pursuing and building. To receive an award from that industry at the highest level — that’s huge for my practice!” she exclaims. “There’s no greater honor than being recognized by the people in my field who are recognized worldwide as experts.”
Her colleagues understand what her patients experience. Giselle’s approach to well-being is steering the industry in a refreshing direction, where health and radiance are the core of treatment.
“A wellness, regenerative and vitality-based approach to esthetics is absolutely the future for the industry because it just makes sense,” she says. “Everything that I do is about helping people look well and having a radiant health in their glow.”
