The St. Regis brand is world-known for its service, luxury and elegance, but The St. Regis Deer Valley property brings a little something extra to the table.

The ski-in, ski-out hotel is perched at 7,452 feet above sea level, providing 360-degree mountain views and easy access to winter’s two biggest draws: skiing and après-ski.

The St. Regis Deer Valley is adjacent to the famed, ski-only slopes of Deer Valley Resort, which is in the midst of a major expansion. The first phase of the development, which is set to more than double the size of Deer Valley Resort when it is fully completed, is already finished, adding three new chairlifts and almost 20 new ski runs to the Deer Valley family.

The après-ski scene, on the other hand, is The St. Regis’ doing.

The property’s Vintage Room, which is celebrating its fourth year, is already known as “the best après scene in town,” says Chris Okamura, the director of operations at The St. Regis Deer Valley. You can ski directly into the 1,600-square-foot bar and lounge and enjoy elevated bites, cocktails and Champagne. Chris adds that “We procure product months in advance to curate the most exclusive wine and Champagne list in town — because after all that is what après is built around — high-energy DJ and Champagne.”

This year, The Vintage Room will debut an updated look and a new sushi bar. “We’re really elevating the culinary scene by offering a small yet sophisticated sushi and caviar menu,” Chris says.

The St. Regis Deer Valley’s other culinary offerings include RIME, which is known for its seafood and steaks and a wine vault that houses 810 different labels and 3,400 bottles. The St. Regis Bar, with its supple leather seating and vibrant murals, is a great place to spend a winter afternoon, while the sunny Brasserie 7452 is a great place to try a twist on French fare.

Chris describes The St. Regis Deer Valley’s newest eatery, La Stellina, as a “small, 60-seat classic Italian restaurant with a New York City vibe that is gaining a lot of attention in town.” He calls the restaurant a true hidden gem, noting that it now boasts a Wine Spectator Award (as does RIME).

“Ultimately, what we’re trying to do is create dining experiences at every corner of the resort,” says Chris. “A lot of it is built around premium ingredients and local, sustainably sourced ingredients.”

Food and après aside, it is the service that makes every dining experience at The St. Regis Deer Valley standout.

“What’s often missing, especially in ski towns, is service,” says Chris. “It’s our service and our ability to connect with guests that makes us stand apart. It’s our genuine, memorable service.”
